Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 8, 2026

UT Radio is a free streaming app and website operated by Utah Tech University's student media program. This policy explains, in plain language, what data we do and do not collect.

What we collect

Nothing personally identifiable. The UT Radio app and website do not require an account, do not ask for personal information, and do not use analytics services, advertising networks, or cross-site tracking. We do not build user profiles, and we do not sell or share data with third parties.

Network traffic the app makes

To function, the app and website make network requests to the following destinations. These requests carry only what is necessary to deliver audio and metadata, with no user identifiers attached:

All connections from the app use HTTPS where the destination supports it. Standard web server logs (IP address, user agent, request timestamp) may be retained short-term by the servers above for operational and security purposes, in line with Utah Tech University's standard IT practices.

Permissions used by the Android app

The app does not request access to your location, microphone, camera, contacts, files, or any other personal data.

Children

The app is intended for general audiences. It does not knowingly collect any information from children, because it does not collect any information from any user.

Changes to this policy

If this policy ever changes, the "Last updated" date above will change with it. The current version is always available at https://radio.utahtech.edu/privacy/.
